Every life event, whether a parting, a union, or another milestone, deserves to be marked in its own way. I create secular services that hold empathy and artistic integrity at their centre, because I believe a well told story becomes its own kind of legacy. Shaping that story with care and precision, so that it brings the full shape of a life or relationship into a single, lasting ceremony, is central to my practice.
I hold a doctorate in English and creative writing, together with professional celebrant training and training in humanistic counselling, which allows me to combine a writer's rigour with a counsellor's depth of listening. Each service begins with a conversation, taking real time to hear the stories and small, defining details that make this moment matter. These details are then shaped into a script that reflects it accurately and with warmth.
Where it feels right, I can suggest readings and poetry suited to the occasion and your wishes, or write a bespoke poem as a personal addition to the ceremony.
